Spring at Fifteen Watts

The story takes place from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, a time when China was undergoing rapid economic growth and profound social change.

Their parents arranged a child-swap marriage, and the resulting children were a top student sister born in the 1990s and Mou Hao. From childhood, the two endured ridicule for wearing hand-me-downs and living in an abandoned factory, but it forged them into people with iron wills. They struggled to stay in school by selling fruit and tutoring, and eventually graduated and achieved modest success. Yet poverty cost them a seven-year relationship. As they drifted from city to city, the siblings turned every hardship into a stepping stone, rising from poor village kids with nothing to become resilient dreamers chasing the light of a new era.
