Also known as: "Washio Sumi Is the Hero of Light" and "Is It Wrong for a Reincarnated Shrine Maiden to Fight Monsters in the Ultraman Tiga World?"
Official synopsis:
Washio Sumi thought the world she had been reincarnated into was utterly ordinary, apart from technology being a little more advanced than expected for the end of the last century. Then, at the age of six, the girl awakened spiritual power. Guided by her grandmother, the chief priestess, she formally began her training as a shrine maiden and came into contact with the truth on the other side of the world.
She thought a few demons and ghosts would be the worst of it. With her spiritual power to protect her, Washio Sumi had nothing to fear. Just as she thought she was living out the story of a protagonist, a major news report threw her already unsettled life into chaos.
What did they mean, "The Earth Peaceful Union Organization, TPC, has officially been established," and "The director will be Soichiro Sawai, former Secretary-General of the United Nations"?
Staring at the familiar face on TV, Washio Sumi's eyes widened in shock. Did that mean this world had not only demons and ghosts, but all kinds of monsters and alien invaders too? And that the sea held a giant apple snail capable of destroying the world? Then there was the upcoming space-scale crisis caused by the Sphia?
Washio Sumi had no intention of getting involved in affairs beyond her abilities. She wanted to live out her days as an "ordinary" shrine maiden with a few special powers. But the girl's passive ability, prophetic dreams, put her in a dilemma.
If you knew someone would die in an accident, and you had the power to stop the tragedy, what would you choose? Would you turn a blind eye, or lend a hand?
The girl said nothing. She simply picked up her longbow and did what she could live with.
(Not a power fantasy. The elementary-school-aged protagonist has limited abilities. Please be gentle with the writing.)
