Journey to the West: The True Lord of the Thunder Division

Ling Xiao, a modern soul, transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West, starting out as a dying young Daoist acolyte. With his golden finger, the Great Dao Evolution Diagram, which can deduce and optimize techniques, and a database of information from the original Journey to the West, he arduously cultivates thunder arts and ascends to the Heavenly Court’s Thunder Division. After realizing that the pilgrimage to the West is a scheme to bring Buddhism to its zenith, he vows, “Let the Dao flourish and the Heavenly Court prosper; let Buddhist teachings go no farther east than the Western Regions.” Using the Thunder Division as his foundation, he secretly positions his pieces and manipulates events, gradually curbing Buddhism’s eastward expansion while strengthening the Heavenly Court’s Daoist sects. In the end, he becomes a towering power in the Thunder Division, commanding the might of heaven and shaping the fate of the Three Realms.
