Chen Ye, a centenarian, was once a war hero who survived a hail of bullets and made outstanding contributions to the founding of the Great Xia!
After the country was founded, he refused honors, left the military, and returned to the countryside, living under an assumed name for the sole purpose of protecting his great-grandson and giving him a peaceful life.
But things did not go as he hoped! Chen Ran, the great-grandson he had raised himself, got into the National University of Defense Technology as the top student in his province. His future should have been limitless! Yet after offering a kind reminder, he offended the daughter of a powerful family and was falsely accused of “sexual assault” by a group of them!
At his college entrance celebration, the police arrested him in front of everyone! The DNA evidence was conclusive, and he could have cleared his name, but three great families wielded immense power, twisted the truth, and manipulated public opinion! In the end, the top student was wrongfully imprisoned!
His great-grandson's future was ruined, there was no way to appeal, and the law had become a laughingstock.
Chen Ye, the centenarian veteran everyone had forgotten, finally broke his silence!
He opened a wooden chest that had been sealed away for years and, with trembling hands, pinned the medals he had earned at the cost of his life to his chest one by one, including the “First-Class Merit” medal powerful enough to shake the military leadership!
He took the plaque once bestowed on him by the country's leaders, bearing the words “Pillar of the Nation,” and went to seek help from the military district!
In an instant, a centenarian carrying an enormous plaque took the internet by storm!
This time, he sought neither fame nor fortune. He wanted only justice from a world held in the grip of the powerful!
Who made the old hero who defended his country bleed and weep?!
