The Taoist Descends the Mountain: Ghost-Hunting Expert

The world we live in is divided into the realms of yin and yang.

The world of yang is where humans live, while the underworld is where ghosts live.

Ghosts include evil spirits, vengeful souls, failed revenants, and demons. But there are also corpses in this world, divided into jiangshi, human corpses, and the dead.

A young ghost called Zhang Sanyi, with a center part and all of eighteen years behind him, came from a Taoist academy to Jingjiang Middle School as a transfer student.

He was skilled in Taoist magic, which had to be powered by qi. Everyone had qi!

And qi gathered as either yin or yang. Taoist magic mainly relied on yang energy!

The school was rumored to be haunted at night, but even more disgusting than ghosts was the human heart!!

“Female ghost! Give me your life! Yin and yang turn, the universe shifts!…”

All Taoist priests under heaven aspire to become immortals. To reach that state, one must pass through five realms:

Qi Condensation, Qi Transformation, Form and Spirit, Returning to the Void, and Unity with the Dao. Only then is ascension possible, and ascension requires immortal qi! Only those fated to possess immortal qi can obtain it.

Those not fated to do so can use a Golden Core to ascend, but the road to immortality is not an easy one. Zhang Sanyi’s path to ascension still lies far ahead. In a society rife with desire, there are still countless demons and monsters among humanity. The path of cultivation is no easy one, especially with the Heavenly Demon still in the human world…
