Summer's Embers Still Burn

[Two male leads + campus life + growing up + sweet romance + tragic ending] [Sunny, straightforward shou Cheng Ye × aloof, icy gong Lu Jingyan] Cheng Ye is a lively boy who loves to talk big. When the class assignments change in his second year of high school, he’s stunned by Lu Jingyan, the school legend in his class. This supposedly icy, top-ranking student behaves nothing like his reputation, and Cheng Ye can’t help wanting to get to the bottom of it. Only after a domestic abuse incident does Cheng Ye catch a glimpse of Lu Jingyan’s hidden secret. From then on, their relationship gradually deepens. At a reunion after graduation, the two finally confess their feelings. But happiness is always fleeting, and one obstacle after another comes between them. To protect Cheng Ye, Lu Jingyan forces himself to break up with him, while silently watching over him from afar. Unaware of the truth, Cheng Ye is heartbroken, and the story takes a sudden turn for the worse. In the end, as Cheng Ye leaves, Lu Jingyan regrets everything he did. Holding an urn, he walks toward the sea. “Cheng Ye, I want to see this world full of flowers together with you.”
