Xiao Qingqing was a recent college graduate who was lucky enough to land a job at a well-known company. But endless overtime eventually worked her to death. After arriving in the underworld, she was assigned a junior clerical position, registering information about the dead. Through her quick wits and hard work, she was promoted to team leader in the clerical department.
The underworld planned to hold a large-scale event in the human world to comfort restless spirits, and Xiao Qingqing volunteered to take charge. Halfway through, however, a group of unruly evil ghosts showed up and wreaked havoc. It turned out that an underworld official, hoping to undermine Xiao Qingqing, had joined forces with them to sabotage the event. Keeping her cool in the crisis, Xiao Qingqing used the underworld spells she had learned on the job to fight the evil ghosts. She also teamed up with Black and White Impermanence to subdue them, allowing the event to finish smoothly. Afterward, Xiao Qingqing's fame soared, and she was promoted to judge. As a judge, she began handling all kinds of complicated cases involving ghosts.
As her achievements mounted, Xiao Qingqing gradually became a key figure in the underworld. Eventually, the former King of Hell stepped down, and Xiao Qingqing was chosen as his successor.
