Completed: Evil Villains Don't Need Redemption, Unhinged Obsession, Court Intrigue, Rekindled Love
Reborn as a vicious villainess with paralyzed legs, Yu Mei's first encounter is with a young criminal slave kneeling in the snow. She knows he's Fu Junci, the ultimate villain who will one day gouge out her eyes and torture her to death.
The original owner was a shameless troublemaker, and Yu Mei only wants to coast until the end. But after everyone is reborn, the plot goes completely off the rails:
Yu Mei lashes him with a wet whip, and Fu Junci holds his back ramrod straight, eyes shining as he says, “Miss, your arm is tired. Let this servant hold the whip for you.”
Yu Mei deliberately tosses her jade pendant into the snow and makes Fu Junci search for it. He kneels for three hours, then presents the bloodstained pendant with a smile. “Thank you for the reward, Miss.”
Yu Mei calls him a dog, and he leans in to lick the blood from her fingertip. “Yes. I'll be a mad dog for you alone, Miss.”
Even more absurd, the beloved heroine rushes to curry favor with Yu Mei, the seemingly gentle but secretly ruthless crown prince makes an exception for her, and the aloof celestial master follows her around to read her fortune. Yet Fu Junci pulls Yu Mei into his arms and points his blade at everyone's throats. “Anyone who dares touch my woman will have to answer to my sword!”
Only later does Yu Mei understand: she died tragically in her previous life, and Fu Junci has been reborn to protect her beneath his wings.
He destroys her enemies and puts down rebellions, laying an empire before Yu Mei's wheelchair. “Meimei, I'll spend my whole life repaying you for what I owed you in my last one.”
Looking into his eyes, gentle despite the blood on his hands, Yu Mei suddenly doesn't want to die anymore.
“Puppy, you're not getting rid of me this time.”
There are no comments at all, it's pretty cool.
