She paused, looked at Yan Jingchen who still had his head lowered, and softened her voice: "You shouldn't be treated like this."
When he met her, he was a humble proton, and she was a noble person in the clouds.
Later, he became the powerful regent, but he couldn't find her whom he longed for.
Later, he was willing to give up everything just to stay with her for the rest of his life.
Yan Jingchen was shocked.
These words seemed to carry warmth, penetrating through the biting cold wind and hitting his heart. He raised his head subconsciously.
A ray of sunlight leaked through the clouds and fell on her face. Her skin is very white, and there are some snow particles on her eyelashes. When illuminated by the light, she looks like a layer of diamonds. The brightest thing is her eyes, which are curved when she smiles, as if they contain the warmest light in the twelfth lunar month.
At that moment, the wind and snow seemed to have stopped.

Oops, I am impressed by the writing style, but I got obsessive-compulsive disorder after reading the third chapter 😂. When the steward whipped the proton, all I could think about was, "This is a living political bargaining chip. If it's broken, you'll have to pay for it!" It felt like these people were daring as hell and didn't care about the international consequences at all, haha. If this was a slave novel, I would have no problem with it, but this is a proton novel! I felt a little aggrieved for the male protagonist, feeling that his aristocratic dignity was being rubbed against the ground. Could you please round out this logic a little? Otherwise my historical brain will call the police! 🚓
