Two extraordinary young women emerged from Hundred Herbs Valley. One used talismanic patterns to channel the spiritual energy of plants, while the other used the art of medicine to protect the vitality of all living things. The strokes of Lou Qingwu's talisman brush held the order of heaven and earth, while Lou Nian'an's alchemy furnace contained the true nature of plants. They had thought they would live peaceful lives in the cultivation world, but when a sudden demonic invasion threatened to destroy the world, they sacrificed themselves to protect all living beings and ascended to the Upper Realm.
There, they found Lou family members who had waited years for their return, and Mo Yuan, a sword immortal who had hidden his identity. His sword could cleave chaos, yet he willingly sheathed its edge for Lou Qingwu. There was also Yin Chen, a silver dragon disguised as a mortal. His dragon breath could overturn seas and rivers, yet he was willing to become gentle and pliant for Lou Nian'an. From the wariness of their first meeting to protecting one another through shared dangers, talisman patterns and sword marks intertwined, while the fragrance of herbs mingled with dragon essence. At last, two wandering hearts found a home beneath the phoenix trees of the Upper Realm.
Their spirit pets, A Bing and A Jiu, grew up alongside them, from an innocent spirit bird and a young fox to close friends who could take human form. The laughter of the Su siblings and the warmth of the three clans becoming family filled their journey with the comforts of everyday life. They had witnessed magnificent mountains and rivers and endured the treachery of human hearts, yet they never strayed from their original purpose: to protect the plants, their loved ones, and each other.
A hundred years passed. Phoenix blossoms bloomed year after year at the Talisman Arts Academy, and the heartbound herbs in the medicinal garden stayed evergreen. Lou Qingwu and Mo Yuan's son, Lou Yichi, inherited their mastery of both talismans and swordsmanship. Lou Nian'an and Yin Chen's daughter, Lou Qianhuan, excelled in medicine and dragon arts, while their spirit pets, now in human form, still bickered by their sides.
The sisters cultivated together and ascended to the Upper Realm, where they met the male leads and returned to their family. The romances take place in the Upper Realm. There are spirit pets, and their families are powerful.
