[Rugged hero | Road-trip story | Secret crush | Love grows over time | Modern romance | They choose each other | Both leads are each other’s first | Everyday life | Sweet romance | Romantic tension]
The hero, Lang Zhao, and heroine, Huai Yi, were once the pride of their small town, two generations apart. One ended up in prison; the other followed the assigned placement system into a major she didn’t like. After starting work, she began writing novels on the side, but ran out of inspiration. Her best friend urged her to go find a man.
Their reunion is awkward: Lang Zhao is accidentally kicked in the groin, and Huai Yi, covering a shift, helps prepare him for surgery. After all these years, his restless heart finally finds a place to belong.
In their memories, Lang Zhao was a high school freshman who took 200 yuan from Huai Yi and her friends for tutoring. In one summer, he helped these small-town kids, who had never studied English before, cram their way up to speed. Huai Yi teased him for his Chinglish and called him a fraud. That was where their fates began to intertwine. Both went on to enter top universities, but one ended up in prison while the other kept her feelings hidden. The secrets buried in the years are finally beginning to emerge.
The story mainly follows their reunion, with some memories woven in along the way. A short-to-medium-length romance of about 23,000 words. Happy ending.
It's good to watch. I didn't get into the mood too much in the first few chapters. After the male and female protagonists hit the road, the descriptions are very interesting. The descriptions of movements, expressions and psychology are quite interesting. Occasionally there are some memories between the two people, the contrast between the male and female protagonists, the restraint of the male protagonist, and the bravery of the female protagonist. I hope the author can continue to write down [Sending my heart][Sending my heart]
