A world ruled by cultivation techniques is about to face a group of “Outcasts.”
Known as the “Uninitiated,” they are born unable to cultivate and destined to be trampled underfoot by martial artists. But in the dark, countless resentful eyes are fixed on the foundation of the martial artists' rule: their cultivation techniques.
A lost scroll by Celestial Master Yi Yang reveals the shocking truth that the “Uninitiated” are not born defective. Strange technology from the Western Kingdom sparks the flames of rebellion, while mysterious Black-Eroding Ore contains the power to corrupt sacred beasts and tear heaven and earth apart.
Tang Rusu's “Whisper” flashes with cold light, Zhang Ze's hundred-forged sickle gleams with a razor-sharp edge, and Feizi, with nothing but his own flesh and blood, takes on the martial artists' champion... The Song family's young lady plots in secret, He Xiuran watches with cold eyes, and the shadow of the Eyes of the Stars looms... As the world changes, all sides clash in the swirling vortex.
As gears of technology mesh with ancient runes, as gunfire drowns out the roar of inner power, and as the Outcasts' cries of rage ring across the skies, a world ruled for ten thousand years by cultivation techniques and bloodlines enters its final age.
