Reborn: Chinese Martial Arts, 1997

In 1997, fifteen-year-old Li Fang was reborn.

In his previous life, he spent over a decade learning martial arts, but as society grew restless and the martial world fell into decline, his martial arts school eventually went bankrupt, he sank into debt, and he died in a lightning accident.

This time, he returns to his family's old home in the countryside. His grandfather is still alive, his martial arts techniques remain intact, and his body is still strong.

He no longer dreams of making it big overnight, nor is he in a hurry to distinguish himself.

Every day, he practices standing, breathing, and punching, retrains in the Six Harmonies, and tempers his Hunyuan force. From the field ridges to the brick house and the chicken coop, he gradually establishes a firm footing.

Using his foreknowledge, he grows medicinal herbs, sells goods, and builds a farm, quietly accumulating strength;

Before troubled times begin, he reshapes his fate with his fists and foresight.

The martial world is not dead, and the old ways of boxing have not gone cold.

When the winds rise and the clouds gather

He will show everyone what true Chinese martial arts are!

What it means to say: “We train in martial arts not to perform, but to throw punches with integrity!”

This is the story of a man carving out his own world with his fists and his heart, in the narrow space between steel and concrete.
