The Nine Burial Coffins

My name is Wang Xuan, and I'm a corpse bearer.

That day, a battle between immortals overturned the mass grave, and I was buried alive in the tomb of an ancient cultivator.

Only when I dug half a copy of the Burial Scripture and a bronze burial spade out from a pile of rotten bones did I discover the truth: this world was one enormous tomb that devoured people, and cultivators were all tomb robbers!

They refined pills using mortals as “human medicine” and treated those who ascended as “living burial goods” to stuff into coffins.

If that's how they played, then I would bury the entire path to immortality using their own methods!

I dug up dragon veins to make coffins, buried myself for seven years, and forged a corpse-burial spade that devoured spiritual power and broke spells;

I pulled the spines from my enemies and forged a hundred coffin nails, then wore burial clothes made of human skin to rob immortal tombs by night;

I lured Golden Core cultivators into coffins and corroded their cores into earth, while my life-bound Nine-Orifice Coffin devoured Nascent Soul ancestors whole!

When I used an Earth Immortal's blood to carve the “Immortal-Slaying Inscription” into a coffin lid at the Immortal-Slaying Burial Rite, a “Funeral Tribulation” suddenly descended from the Nine Heavens. It was actually the corpse tide and Dao traces left behind by the burial lords of ages past!

It turned out that the end of the Burial Dao was to dig a grave for the old epoch...

So I lay down in the Nine-Orifice Profound Coffin I'd forged myself and ordered my disciples to nail the lid shut.

The burial spade shattered my immortal bones, and the burial ropes strangled my soul. Through self-burial, I glimpsed the ultimate truth: so-called eternal life was nothing more than a million years of decay inside a coffin.

“Immortals bury all living beings as funeral offerings. I'll tear this grave apart!”

When the coffin exploded and a new gravestone rose, the boy beneath it clutched half a copy of the Burial Scripture and looked up

Deep in the heavens, the giant coffin had opened a crack...
