Shennong's Kindling: The Eternal Era

When Jiang Yan, a researcher at the History Museum, was examining a restored late Neolithic stone knife, it cut his finger, and the knife absorbed his blood. Lightning then struck it, transforming it into a Shennong Ruler engraved with ancient patterns. Jiang Yan was swept into a passage through time and transmigrated to a grassland.

Surrounded by primitive people, he learned from Jiang Xuanbo, the tribe’s high priest, that he had become Shennong Yan Emperor. He was in the mountains beside the Jiang River, with only three months remaining before the scheduled war with Ji Xuanyuan. “He” was supposed to return three days later, but had already been delayed by a month.

Jiang Yan discovered that he still had his shoulder bag, and that the rugged tablet, smartphone, and other items inside had come with him. His phone could even connect to the museum’s signal. Determined to prepare for war, he used modern knowledge to teach his people how to make weapons and train according to military strategy. In the Battle of Banquan, he defeated Ji Xuanyuan and brought him over to his side. Together they united the tribes and founded the Eternal Empire. Jiang Yan made himself emperor, appointed Ji Xuanyuan as prime minister, and established multiple government departments.

Using the ruby on the Shennong Ruler, he made five trips back to the modern era to obtain resources. Once its energy was depleted, he remained in ancient times and led the tribes in developing modern technologies such as planes, tanks, artillery, and nuclear weapons, eventually unifying Earth. Fifty years later, he embarked on the path of cultivation with the help of Jiang Xuanbo’s studies of the occult. After surviving the tribulation, he led a space fleet on a campaign of interstellar conquest, leaving Earth’s affairs to his descendants and continuing the eternal legend.
