I Raise Gods and Demons at the Zoo

Chen Mo dropped out of college and is drowning in debt. To make ends meet, he lands what sounds like a dream job: a state-owned enterprise position with full benefits, meals, and lodging, as a caretaker at the nearly bankrupt Shanhai City Endangered Mythical Beast Conservation Center. He thinks the job will involve shoveling poop, feeding animals, and outsmarting his mentally unstable coworkers. Then he discovers that the lazy cat dozing on the job can smash an alloy door with one paw; the old turtle floating belly-up in the pond carries an Eight Trigrams formation on its shell; and the parrot that curses at him every day is speaking the ancient language of dragons... And his seemingly unreliable coworkers? The booze-loving janitor, Old Wang, is a talisman master. The gossipy cafeteria lady, Auntie Li, is skilled at refining ancient elixirs. And the bald director who carries a thermos everywhere once felled an extraterrestrial evil god with a single sword strike. This isn't a zoo. It's a prison holding countless ancient gods and demons! And Chen Mo isn't an animal caretaker, but the warden! As gods and demons awaken and the city teeters on the brink of collapse, the world's most dangerous combatants are all on the feeding list of Chen Mo, the "trainee caretaker." "Um... Brother Jiuying, could you settle today's food bill? You've got nine heads, and you ate nine portions of my rations!"
