The next day, a giant Maine Coon, Zeus, crashes through Yili's front door while being chased by a calico cat, Hera.
“Meow! Zeus, you two-timing scoundrel!” Hera's claws glint ominously.
A month after she starts taking in pets, a Doberman, Hades, shows up at Yili's door with a silver American Shorthair, Persephone, in his mouth, asking for shelter.
“Pleased to meet you. I am Hades, lord of the underworld.” He nods elegantly.
Then a call duck, Hermes, comes charging in on a tablet. “Yili! Hurry and place an order! Cat food, dog food, and fish food are all half-price this month!”
So Yili holds the fishbowl and stares at the adorable chaos filling her home, lost in thought.
Wait! What's this Chaos, the god of chaos, who showed up uninvited, following what he calls the “strongest Wi-Fi signal”?
Chaos: “So tired, so sleepy, I want to sleep... Yili, do you have any pancakes...? Zzz...”
And so begins Yi Yili's adorable, exhausting, hectic life raising a menagerie of god-pets.
