Outside the Cang Yuan Continent, there lies a sea area that is burning with blue industry fire all year round - the Sea of Embers. Legend has it that the remains of ancient gods sleep there, and they also contain taboo powers that can subvert the three realms. For thousands of years, no one has dared to set foot in the depths.
In the Candeng Temple in the eastern border of the mainland, young Ah Jin was adopted by the abbot since he was a child, and a burning lamp pattern was born on his palm. Every night when the moon is full, the lamp patterns will become hot, and what floods into his mind are broken illusions about the Sea of Embers and the ruined civilization.
When he was seventeen years old, the karmic fire in the Sea of Embers suddenly spread to the offshore, countless islands turned into scorched earth, and a monster called "Shadow Ember" crawled out of the sea and devoured living creatures. At the same time, Candeng Temple was bloodbathed by mysterious forces. Before his death, the abbot handed over an ancient lamp fragment to Ajin, leaving only the sentence "The burning lamp will never be extinguished, and the sea of Jin will not sink."
In order to find out the truth, Ajin embarked on a journey with the fragments. He met a mermaid girl who was looking for family secrets, a ranger who mastered the map of the Ember Sea but was both good and evil, and a group of ascetics whose mission was to "extinguish the lights". As the journey progresses, Ah Jin discovers that the light pattern on his palm is actually the key to opening the core of the Sea of Ember, and that the so-called forbidden power is actually related to a betrayal of the gods that spanned thousands of years.
When more and more forces focus on this "lamp", when the giant eye in the depths of the Sea of Embers slowly opens, Ajin must make a choice between protection and destruction, truth and obsession - let the burning lamp burn everything, or let the sleeping secret be buried forever in the Sea of Embers?
