[Hong Kong-style flower shop owner ❌ scheming globetrotting photographer]
[Fussy wedding planner ❌ Daddy-type interior designer]
(Hong Kong style × two couples | intense push and pull × a reversal in the chase | mutual devotion, healing sweetness)
(The Cantonese in the first few chapters is a little over the top, but there’s less later on. Please don’t drop the story, okay?)
Intense push and pull / healing sweetness / Hong Kong style
Rain always brings the same customer to Fang Qinghao’s flower shop:
“Welcome to our shop.”
The electronic sensor’s mechanical female voice rang out again. Fang Qinghao didn’t even look up. “Photographer Yuan, why do our encounters always play out like this?”
Yuan Xibai stood in the doorway, water dripping from his hair. His eyes curved into crescents behind his glasses. “Maybe I was born with a rain god’s constitution.”
That was the second time this month.
The first time, he said he couldn’t tell roses from garden roses.
The second time, he asked if he could work here temporarily.
This photographer blushed when he knocked over a flower bucket and couldn’t tell garden roses from bellflowers.
From Hong Kong Island to Sicily, she was all his camera ever captured.
Yuan Man VS Jiang Ziqian
From an “accidental” kiss over orange wine at a bar to a “calculated” pursuit of his wife at an ancient Greek theater:
She pretends to have amnesia to hide her fluttering heart. When she asks, “What’s your name, handsome?” the drunken haze on her lashes has already cleared, replaced by sly knowingness.
[The flirtatious games of adults]
I think the writing style has improved in the later part. The love line in the whole book actually goes hand in hand with the friendship line. The characters are okay. It feels three-dimensional and it is a healing style.
This book avoids what I consider to be toxic points, and has a gentle pace, twists and turns that seem to be relaxing at times.
I really love this author's writing style. I have been following it for so long and among so many books, this is the only one that I can easily read.
The only novel that I don't feel tired of reading now.
This book was written by a great talent, with excellent writing style, fluent language, and contextual relevance.
The writing style is super good, one chapter can be read as ten chapters. After reading for a while, I can directly understand the role of environment description, expression description and other things!
This is definitely the best novel I have ever read. Especially when I stayed up late at night reading it, I couldn't stop reading.
The writing is good, it calmed down my impetuous heart, and I even want to come to you to chat and prepare for your century-old code plan.
A very beautiful book with amazing writing and rich and delicate plot. Such novels are rare in Tomato.
This book is a rare good book that I have found in the past few months.
