Award-winning lawyer Su Qingyuan has a secret: she can hear the thoughts deep in people’s hearts. This “superpower” makes her unstoppable in court, but she loses her cool when she meets Lu Zhiyan, the CEO of Xingtu.
He seems cold and hard on the outside, but inside, his thoughts scroll by nonstop: “Her raised eyebrow is so cool.” “Her perfume smells wonderful today.” From clashing head-on to standing side by side to unravel a conspiracy, she hears the care he can’t hide, while he protects her fearless edge.
When malice comes her way, he steps in front of her. When the fog of the past closes in, she helps him find the truth. Mind reading is her weapon, but nothing is more moving than his simple words: “I’m here.”
Their contest begins with testing the waters and discovering their feelings, then turns into a love they both pursue. What started with “hearing hearts” ends in a lifelong commitment made in the name of love. The greatest superpower of all is his wholehearted sincerity.
