The Infinite Tale of Zero and Hikigaya

He is a “medical miracle who came back from the dead,” and the “zombie boy” shunned by the whole school.

Hikigaya Hachiman was hit by a car while saving a dog. In the morgue, the Warrior of Light Zero, spat out by a dimensional rift, possesses him and brings him back to life.

The price: the Ultra Timer flashing on his chest is now counting down his life, while the shadow of an alien invasion looms over Earth.

Forced to join the Service Club, he finds himself surrounded by “dangerous” girls:

The sharp-tongued Yukinoshita Yukino sneers that he “belongs in a funeral home”; the airheaded Yui Yuigahama senses tenderness beneath the smell of blood; and lurking in the shadows is the yandere Satou, licking his bloodied wounds and calling him “my undying god.”

As a giant alien tears through the streets, Zero roars in his mind:

“Transform! Or we'll both die!”

The instant Hikigaya takes out the Ultra Eye, a Russian whisper from the transfer student, Eri, drifts past from outside the alley: “Savior... or monster?”
