Wei Ling was the first to react. He wiped the water from his face and lowered his voice. "You interfered with an important arrest."
Huang Ningning's eyes widened. "Huh? You're the one who followed me!"
"I'm Colonel Wei Ling of the Interstellar Special Operations Bureau." He showed her his credentials. "And you just let a wanted criminal on the galactic level get away."
Huang Ningning's expression shifted from anger to surprise, then settled into awkwardness. "Uh... well... I can explain..."
Wei Ling sighed and pulled her out of the fountain. "No, you don't need to explain. But you're a witness now, so you have to come with me."
