Love Through the Mist

[Strong-willed, deceptively obedient beauty in a cheongsam + brooding, roguish, doting, calculating CEO + sweet and angsty] The second male lead chases his wife to win her back + the male lead steals her away Six-year age gap + mutual healing + sweet romance Zhuang Yunshu saves the Lu family matriarch in an accident and becomes engaged to Lu Xianxing. When he signs the engagement contract with her, the man coldly lays down two rules. 1. Treat each other with courtesy. 2. Don’t interfere in each other’s affairs. Everyone in S City’s social circles knows that the Lu family’s second young master is calm and restrained, with an elegant, luminous presence. Yet he dotes on Lin Qiyue, the daughter of his father’s friend, whom he grew up with. The two of them share a passionate romance. Zhuang Yunshu knows nothing about it. She takes care of him in every possible way, hoping he’ll fall in love with her. She never imagined that all she’d get in return was increasingly severe cold treatment. * On the day Zhuang Yunshu asks Lu Xianxing to end their engagement, Lu Zhaoye, head of the Lu family, flies back from abroad. Lu Zhaoye is taciturn, aloof, and stern. As head of the Lu family and its youngest chairman, he intimidates Zhuang Yunshu. They’ve had little to do with each other over the past two years. In his eyes, she might be nothing more than an extra, a fleeting presence. The night she signs the breakup agreement… Lu Xianxing leaves her on the street as a torrential rain pours down on her. A large black umbrella shields her from the rain. The man says gently, “I’ll take you home. You’ll catch a chill.” Shivering with cold, Zhuang Yunshu asks, “Brother Zhaoye, can you hold me?” That night, she sleeps with her former fiancé’s older brother… Later, Lu Xianxing sees them kissing in the street… He confronts Lu Zhaoye: “You plotted to steal her from me!” Lu Zhaoye smirks roguishly. “She’s always been mine.”
