Zhu You, a young man from modern times, transmigrates into the body of the Chongzhen Emperor, Zhu Youjian, just as he is about to hang himself on Coal Hill at the end of the Ming dynasty. He gains a System.
The System announces: “The Yanhuang Heroes System is now bound. You can summon famous generals and ministers from history.”
Li Zicheng’s army is about to breach the city walls. Chongzhen throws back his head and laughs: “Great Ming, I will give you another three hundred years!”
His beginner’s gift summons Dian Wei to protect him. Twin halberds sweep through the rebels, while thirty thousand Snow-Drake Cavalry thunder across the land.
Lu Xiangsheng sheds tears on the battlefield: “This humble general is willing to fight to the death for Your Majesty!”
When Dorgon and the Eight Banners troops approach Shanhai Pass, Chongzhen sneers: “System, summon Yue Fei for me!”
Gazing at the Eight Banners cavalry kneeling outside Shanhai Pass, Chongzhen points his sword at the sky: “Wherever the sun and moon shine, there lies Ming territory!”
