(This is not mindless wish fulfillment. The pacing is slow at first, with worldbuilding and setup. Proceed with caution if that's not your thing.)
His name is Sishi, pronounced like "Death God," and he also bears an ancient, forbidden title: Satan.
He was one of the Ten Orders that once governed the lifelines of all things in the mortal world, the incarnation of "Hell."
Tens of millions of years ago, the Ten Orders sat high above the mortal world, wielding power over the clouds and rain. Life, death, joy, and anger all depended on the thoughts of the gods.
But humanity, unwilling to remain on its knees forever, unexpectedly received a response from the "Stars" and stole power nearly equal to that of the gods.
After mountains of corpses and countless devastating failures, humanity finally drove its blades into the gods' hearts.
And so the glorious Ten Orders fell into eternal slumber.
The history of deicide, regarded as a source of shame, was completely erased and replaced with a new legend, woven by human hands and filled with hope and light.
The dust seemed to have settled, and the past was meant to be forgotten forever.
Yet a prophecy from the "Prophet," one of the strongest Awakened of the modern era, tore through the false calm like a thunderclap:
The slumbering Ten Orders will eventually awaken, and when they do, a world-ending catastrophe far worse than anything in antiquity will descend!
To act before doomsday, humanity's highest authorities launched a top-secret program codenamed "Deification."
They would create ten human gods with their own hands to fight, or even replace, the returning Ten Orders, forcibly changing the course of destruction.
Meanwhile, in a corner, Sishi (Satan) had only just managed to awaken, weak and in a sorry state because his power had drained away too soon. After being selected as a candidate for "Satan," his face was filled with disbelief and absurdity.
Oh no... I've become a replacement
Hmm... Let's make an objective evaluation. I feel that the plot in the early stage is not very attractive. It could be more exciting (to put it bluntly, it's not exciting enough). The writing is indeed better than many of the current Tomato novels, which are not popular. It's hard to say about the plot. I won't be able to evaluate it until the middle and later stages.
Very nice! It would be nice if it was non-CP and the protagonist would be a villain in the end 😄 The protagonists I saw before became good guys 😢
It was a bit frustrating in the early stage, but maybe I like the feeling of being tortured after having fun [OK] The reason why there are so few people is probably because the male protagonist is too frustrated. People who come to read the article just want to watch mindless fun, and there are too many female characters, so it is easy to encounter the subtle point of ambiguity. Moreover, there is no clear explanation and there is no female protagonist, so it is easy to backstab. Srds didn't hit my mark 😘, but I still hope that the author can clarify the protagonist's emotional line as soon as possible, and that the author will update it soon 😠
I think it looks pretty
No need to say more, that's it.
It's pretty good. I'd like to ask if there's a female lead.
Clear logic, fresh subject matter, and beautiful language
What is the level of the protagonist's combat power? Is the God Killer the strongest?
