In 2077, the virtual world Aesos, built by the Stardust System, hides a trap for the mind. Engineer Luo Li loses herself in the virtual world after her boyfriend’s “death,” taking on the persona of Gloria, a singer who heals through song. Her boyfriend’s consciousness survives as Kai, a “data hunter,” but his memories are fragmented. Reunited in the space between virtuality and reality, they fight data ghosts that devour consciousness and mend the world’s rifts with love and memories, continuing their unfinished romance amid the stardust.
