The Star Chain of Word Souls: Searching for Him a Thousand Times

As the “Black Moon” quietly rises over the digital age, the passion hidden in Song lyrics is being stripped away bit by bit. Xin Qiji's “armored horses and clashing spears” have become mere printed words in textbooks, while the fervor of “a man's heart stays iron to the end” is fading into a blurred memory. This is no fictional crisis, but a metaphor for our cultural memory being forgotten.

Fortunately, some people refuse to back down. Beside a radio telescope, Jin Xuerou tosses up a draft of lyrics, and the lines of “Po Zhen Zi” turn into star-chart coordinates. Hu Yanyu, coding away, writes “cut away the laurel's shadow,” and streams of code instantly become blades of light. When Wang Lan, once controlled by others, awakens, a single line, “the brave man's lament remains unfinished,” shatters the enemy server. The “spirits of poetry” they awaken take the form of the mechanical wings of “Deng E'er,” the wall-breaking horns of “Di Lu Ma,” and, more than anything, the vitality of Song lyrics that has endured for eight hundred years.

When a hundred thousand spirits of poetry turn into a bright moon and crash into the Black Moon, when “watch my hand, mend the rift in the sky” appears on a charred inkstone, and when Xin Qiji, lying on his sickbed, sees the starry river a thousand years in the future, this battle is no mere virtual clash. It is about every ordinary person protecting our cultural memory.

The poem you carry in your heart, the old story you remember, each is a spirit of poetry yet to awaken. Now it's time to join the moonlight from eight hundred years ago and the pulsing code, and keep the promise of civilization.
