I happened to come across a Weibo post from Li Xiang’s male assistant.
“Winning over CEO Li, progress: 95%.”
He’d been posting things like this for three years straight, with his progress climbing from 1% all the way to 95%.
His account had made him an internet celebrity, and everyone was asking who this “CEO Li” he kept talking about was.
I showed my phone to Li Xiang, but she just brushed it off.
“He’s just a kid being absurd. Don’t take it seriously.”
I trusted her judgment and her feelings for me, so I didn’t take the assistant’s overstepping to heart.
