Our homeroom teacher sat me, the top student in our grade, next to the school's most notorious troublemaker.

The whole class was waiting to see me get bullied until I cried.

But when I fainted from low blood sugar, he scooped me up and rushed me to the nurse's office.

Later, at the school basketball tournament, he tossed me the winning ball in front of the whole school. “It's for you.”

“You can copy my notes... but don't secretly draw me in class.”
