[A quick disclaimer: Most of this is based on my own headcanon, and much of it is slice of life. If you can’t handle the mother-and-son dynamic between the Raiden Shogun and her children, this may not be for you. Ei has a CP, so if that bothers you, you can skip this too. Also, this is my first time writing, so feel free to point out anything I get wrong.]
[Most importantly, the characters may be out of character.]
After working for hundreds of millions of years and going through all sorts of things, including losing friends and a sister, one overworked employee decided to overthrow her boss and take charge herself. After many more years on the job, she finally decided to retire and enjoy a quiet old age. But somehow, she just couldn’t find a moment’s peace! One second she’d be relaxing with old friends, playing cards or mahjong, and the next she’d be dragged off to work...
Ei: “Work, work, and more work!”
Dear...
Alesia (Greater Lord Rukkhadevata): “My poor old friend. She was the first to officially retire, but somehow she always seems so busy~”
Anora (Egeria): “I’m all packed. When are we going on our trip? Where’s Ei?”
Nabu (the Goddess of Flowers): “I heard she had a meeting to attend. She left three minutes ago.”
A few Lord and Lady Raidens, who preferred to keep their names private, had this to say: “Three hundred billion years old is the perfect age to strive for greatness! Mother, you really shouldn’t retire!”
(This contains a lot of personal headcanon. If you don’t like it, please leave instead of reading.)
