The art of wellness lies in the heart
Wellness has long been regarded as “the pursuit of those with too much time on their hands,” or something “for the old and infirm.” But in truth, it is the foundation of life, much like the base of a building. Without laying the foundation, how can you build a towering structure?
People today often say they have no time for wellness, not realizing that it depends not on how much time you have, but on how much care you take. What you eat and how you live can all support your well-being; walking, sitting, and lying down all hold their own secrets. A bowl of plain congee is better than a lavish feast, and a good night’s sleep is more restorative than fine wine. There is no need to pursue wellness deliberately. A little mindfulness in everyday life can bring great benefits.
We often see people chasing fame and fortune until they are utterly spent, only to regret it when illness strikes. They are like those who “drain the pond to catch the fish,” concerned only with immediate gain and blind to future harm. The way to nurture your health is more like “storing water to raise fish”: it may seem slow, but its benefits last.
Wellness is about more than living longer; it also helps you live with clarity. A healthy body allows clear thought, and a refreshed mind makes it possible to see the world for what it is. Those who care for their health can often find what is real amid confusion, and peace amid the noise.
Wellness is not something to seek outside yourself, but a matter of looking inward. Rather than searching everywhere for miracle cures, take the time to care for yourself. The art of wellness lies in the heart.
Come on!!! A good memory is not as good as a bad pen. It will be much more convenient to use in the future 🤭
