This is a tale in which a hero’s endless tribulations take the place of the world’s own endless cycle.
Yun Lu, a young storyteller whose identity is shrouded in mystery, quietly appears on the edge of a storm: the chaotic kingdom of Huo Luo. With a bamboo-ribbed folding fan in hand and claiming to be the last inheritor of the Tianji Pavilion, he walks amid the flashing blades of the empire and the martial world. Though he seems detached, he takes heaven and earth for a chessboard, turning every fated powerhouse into a piece in his game.
The truth of the world is far crueler than the legends say. What is called salvation may require an even more complete destruction.
As the shadows of the ancient gods once again blanket the land, and the heroes’ fates intertwine with the survival of the world, who can unravel the ultimate mystery of this endless cycle?
