The Haunted Bracelet

A novel blending fantasy, horror, and history. The story begins as the Palace Museum closes for the day. Shen Chuyue, a guide at the Treasure Gallery, is alone in the vast exhibition hall. The rare white jade bracelet known as the Chiyou Ring, unearthed from the tomb of the “Nameless Noblewoman” and hailed as a sensation in archaeological circles, has been sitting quietly on display. Then, in an instant, it inexplicably clamps itself around Shen Chuyue's wrist. The Chiyou Ring has a strange texture, neither metal nor jade. It is cold and hard, and a bizarre crimson thread winds through the depths of the stone, pulsing as if alive and giving off an eerie glow. Moments later, the specially designed bulletproof glass case holding the ring explodes without warning, throwing the exhibition hall into chaos and making Shen Chuyue the focus of this bizarre incident. Afterward, archaeology professor Chen Mingyuan takes her to a staff room deep inside the Palace Museum, converted from a disused storeroom. The place reeks of decay, trapping her like a giant observation cage.
