When electrical engineering graduate Lin Yu sighed at the two stars on his Genshin Impact screen, he never imagined his life would take a turn across worlds.
Furina, Fontaine's Hydro Archon, her signature white tuft of hair standing up, tumbles out of his smoking computer and into his 40-square-meter rental apartment. This self-proclaimed “master of drama” mistakes the vacuum cleaner for a monster, uses elemental power to water the floor, and instantly turns into a proper lady when she sees Kaedehara Kazuha.
As the wandering samurai Kaedehara Kazuha, the contract-keeper Zhongli, and the Raiden Shogun (Ei), who pursues eternity, arrive one after another, the apartment becomes a modern waystation for Teyvat's characters. They investigate the “Anemo principles” of the range hood, debate whether instant noodles count as a “monster's lair,” and cause plenty of laughs while shopping for swimsuits at the beach. Furina clutches a wave-shaped swim ring and calls it “standard Hydro Archon equipment”; Zhongli approves of its material as “contract-compliant”; and the Raiden Shogun's ears turn red in a modest swimsuit.
Lin Yu uses his electrical engineering knowledge to explain modern technology to the gods while investigating the secret behind their transmigration. When a mysterious organization threatens the peace, coveting their elemental powers, he realizes that these visitors from Teyvat have long since become more than “guests to send home”: they're family he doesn't want to leave.
This is a cohabitation diary of elemental power colliding with Wi-Fi, filled with laughter and adventure, and with the warmth of people from two worlds building a home together in a 40-square-meter space. Can they return to Teyvat? Perhaps the ice cream they share and the shows they watch together matter more than the answer right now.
