NBA First Pick: Stealing Superstar Skills

In 2005, Chen Mo, a young Chinese American, sneaks into Los Angeles and gets into UCLA on a scholarship. But because of his yellow skin, he is relegated to being a practice player on the basketball team. On the verge of collapse after a serious injury, he awakens the Superstar Gene Plunder System. Defeating Josh Smith unlocks his first plunder, granting him the incredible “spring-loaded legs” that change his fate.

At the Chicago tryouts, he uses the System to analyze his opponents' weaknesses and outshines Andrew Bogut, a top contender for the first pick, shocking the league as an Asian player. The Milwaukee Bucks go all in, offering him the first overall pick, and Chen Mo steps onto the NBA court with the System at his side.

From the edge of the bench to the first pick in the draft, he wields the System like a blade, plundering superstar skills such as Dirk's “one-legged fadeaway” and Nash's “precision passing.” Amid the doubters, he shatters prejudice and writes a new legend in basketball with his Asian presence, making the summer of 2005 the glorious beginning of a first overall pick with yellow skin.
