The Sky Is Falling, and I’m Slaying Gods in the Asylum

My name is Chen Xiao. I'm a Daoist priest by profession and a mental patient on the side. Three years ago, to investigate the mystery of my master's disappearance, I deliberately “went mad” and checked into Qingteng Psychiatric Hospital, a place said to be “impossible to leave.” The patients here include a man who claims to be Emperor Qin Shi Huang, a Lovecraft fan who keeps muttering that his “sanity is plummeting,” and a beautiful doctor who… keeps trying to stick me with needles. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Only I know that the true “great terror” is sealed beneath this hospital. When the city is enveloped by the uncanny and bizarre cases one after another lead back here, I wield a peachwood sword in my left hand and a “medical chart” in my right, using madness as my armor to protect the peace of the living world. “Don't get me wrong, I'm not picking on anyone. I'm just saying, if you're sick, get treated, and if you're a ghost… get slashed!” This is a hard-hitting tale of the last great hero of the Daoist world, treating the sick and saving lives while slaying demons and vanquishing evil in a psychiatric hospital.
