The Strange Dao: From the Start, a Vengeful Spirit in the Marshal's Mansion

[Supernatural + Suspense + Adventure]

Yin soldiers crossing the border? I’ll draw talismans to trap them, borrow the incense offerings of the living, and force them to crawl back on their knees!

Vengeful spirits haunting me? I’ll use copper coins to bind their souls and seal them in the earth’s ley lines.

Feng shui curses? I’ll redirect the dragon veins and defy fate itself.

In the chaotic Republic of China era, warlords carve up the land, yin soldiers march through, and living corpses roam by night.

I’m Chen Jiuxiao, an outcast of the Maoshan Sect, scraping by in troubled times by telling fortunes for the dead.

I can sense “danger” that no one else knows about.

In these chaotic times, the living are more evil than ghosts, and warlords more wicked than demons.

But they’ve forgotten one thing:

Feng shui can kill without a knife.

“Mr. Chen, are your copper-coin readings really accurate?”

I grinned, showing two pointed canine teeth.

“No charge if I’m wrong. But if I’m right, what I want is more than money.”
