A top-tier programmer on the brink of death uploads his consciousness to a virtual universe he coded himself, where time can be accelerated without limit, in pursuit of eternal life. He becomes the "god" of this new world.
Yet as he journeys through the grandeur and splendor of the cosmos, and personally guides a planet from a single-celled "primordial soup" to an intelligent "civilization" from the perspective of its creator, he discovers that all his "experiments," no matter which path they take, technology, cultivation, magic, or even a more outlandish civilization based on emotion, will, at the height of their respective glory, run into the same ultimate ceiling, an insurmountable barrier named "him."
When the "created beings" begin gazing up at the stars and questioning the meaning of the "creator's" existence; when the "creator" sees his own eternal, endless loneliness reflected in the despair of the "created beings," only then does he finally understand...
This universe may be no more than a tiny "matryoshka doll" nested inside a much larger prison.
And he, this seemingly all-powerful "god," is merely the loneliest "prisoner" of another, higher-level "god."
The author is very kind. This book is not suitable to be a tomato novel, haha. I think it is suitable to be a published science fiction book for the enlightenment of middle school students and children (I will sort out the text and themes). The overall writing is very good, unique, refreshing, and unconstrained. This is a philosophical and science fiction novel full of various code computer system terms, physical and mathematical principles, and exploration of the universe, life/life direction. Haha, so complicated. The writing is excellent. The words and sentences often make people feel beautiful, complicated, and professional, but they are full of rationality and logic. All the science fiction, physics, mathematics, astronomy, and philosophical thinking that may seem "unclear" at first are included, but it makes people read clearly and clearly, which is really amazing. I was attracted by the introduction. The description in the introduction made me look forward to what will happen after Ming created an eternal world and became the god of this world? Later, I didn't expect that Daming was just an observer from outside the world. The real "god" does not participate or experience it. After knowing this, I didn't have enough expectations for the next story, and I felt a little bit bored. But later on, when I saw various different worlds and what happened, although the results were the same, the magnificence, beauty, and unbridled imagination in them were impressive. In the end, the last three worlds, technological logic and sensibility, warmth and chaos, and the tolerance and unity of probability, each found its own destination. The ending of Xi's world also expresses the views of most people. The universe and life will eventually perish, and the splendor in life is more important. It would be nice to come to the world once and experience it beautifully. However, I feel that there is still emptiness in my heart. Once I think that one day when I open my eyes, I will no longer be there, and I will no longer have my own consciousness in this world. I will no longer be able to feel the gentleness of the wind, the warmth of the sun, the softness of the water, and the sweetness, bitterness and spicyness of the food... Every time I think about death, I still feel secretly painful and reluctant to give up... I still haven't found my answer. Maybe my life is too ordinary and not exciting enough? Hey, I'm still afraid of death, but I can't stop [covering face][covering face]😢😢😢😢😢 The author's writing style is very good. I will read your new novel when I have time. I heard that the updates should be more stable. Don't not update at once. If you update a lot at once, the results will be better. I wish the author will become a famous writer soon and live a long life+🤭
The author's thinking on the meaning of existence has reached an incredible level. Just imagine that in the final madness of the Third Age, if time was so long that the zoo owner would not be surprised to find that the chickens he raised had spelled out the entire text of this book with grains of rice. Then the ultimate meaning exists in every bit of life. Whether you live forever or not is not important. What is important is how to find your own meaning in the process of existence. Whether you dedicate your life to the progress of civilization or just protect your own small family, it is all individual meaning. There is no difference in the meaning of the collective. It is meaningful to be silent in nothingness or to try our best to create a scenery that does not belong to this world. I was once troubled by the concept of heat death, thinking that if the universe has lost its meaning, then how can the behavior of an individual be meaningful? Later, I understood that meaning is defined by individuals. Without individuals, there is no meaning. How can a universe without thoughts have a definition of "life and death" for its own life and death? If the universe has thoughts, then the universe is also an individual, which is no different from individuals looking for their own meaning. Finally, what I want to say is that the author, please give it a try (ง •̀_•́)ง, and if you can publish this book, I am looking forward to the impact of this book on the flow of real thinking [laughing]
The story of probabilistic civilization is very interesting. A person's survival probability will increase when he is observed by others. You think so I am. It feels very philosophical
@ Pure Second Uncle I feel that the first volume is a very high-quality short science fiction story. It would be better to sort out the text and publish it in a physical book. There are also some problems with some of the plots at the end, and there are also some anecdotes, and there is no mention of immortality and magic. And most importantly, diversity is too low. Anyway, all in all, I think it can be reorganized and turned into a physical book of science fiction, and then use the reputation of the physical book to attract others to read the online articles now in Tomato.
Thinking ahead, I want to read it without being too addictive. Reading this book feels like emotional healing.
This book is indeed imaginative, but there is one biggest bug. When Ming entered the virtual world for the last time, he set the time flow rate to 1 second as eternity. As you can see from the previous article, all evolution of the virtual world requires energy. Then the energy demand at the moment when Ming entered for the last time should be infinite. The server should explode directly. It is impossible to have such a large computing power and energy support, because what is needed is infinite. Can the author correct this bug? @ Pure Er Daye , I will buy gifts if it comes back, and the rest seems to be really okay so far, there are no big flaws.
This book, with all its flaws, is short and concise. It chooses to end before it inevitably goes downhill. This is the best thing. Of course, the first few chapters are a threshold Civilization becomes more glorious because it is short-lived Eternity has no future, a cage called the past The past is never past, but the future is already here
Cold logic combines excellent classic works. In this book, lofty philosophy surrounds the material world like an immortal ghost, silently telling us another possibility. The bold imagination also determines the extraordinaryness of this book. After "The Three-Body Problem", strange flowers and exotic flowers are vying to open up first, hoping that this flower will not wither.
After reading it, I suddenly remembered a sentence: "There is only one kind of heroism in the world, and that is to still love it all after recognizing everything."
It is a very interesting book full of thoughts on the meaning of the universe and life. It has to be completely narrated, and each civilization can be made into a TV series for one season, and finally the whole big story can be integrated.
