After Being Blacklisted, Bai Lu Fell in Love with Me

[Celebrity + Variety Show + Singer + Actor + One Heroine: Bai Lu] [Welcome to Mushroom House] When Gu Yan opened his eyes, he found himself in a parallel world, where he had become an entertainer reviled across the internet. After refusing his superiors' unreasonable demands, he was blacklisted and frozen out by his company. By a twist of fate, however, he arrived on the set of the CCTV variety show Fields of Hope with a contract in hand. The company sent only one “assistant,” who had a hidden camera and was clearly there to catch him in a scandal and destroy him for good. But in front of the cameras, Gu Yan showed a completely different, genuine side of himself, drawing on his tender singing voice and an actor's empathy as he worked in the countryside. He unexpectedly grew close to the candid and perceptive Bai Lu, and the two gradually developed an easy rapport as they went about their daily chores, chopping wood and cooking. When he dismantled one fabricated scandal after another, and the truth behind the scenes came to light through the variety show's cameras, the entire internet finally realized just how much brilliance lay hidden in the man who had been nailed to the pillar of shame.
