Synopsis

[Terra's dawn needs your guidance. Its stranded lives yearn for your salvation.]

[Will you accept the mission, cross the dimensional barrier, and descend upon the continent of Terra?]

[Your faithful assistant Amiya and the operators of Rhodes Island are eagerly awaiting your return.]

[Note: The world of Terra has detected intense Originium fluctuations and signals of recurring disasters. Safety protocol confirmed: protecting the lives of the “adorable” Rhodes Island operators takes top priority.]

[Yes/No]

Beneath the choices, a line of nearly transparent gray text appeared like a ghost, its clear malice searing across his retina:

[No valid refusal command detected... Loading backup protocol... Welcome home.]

Eagerly awaiting me? Are they hoping I'll be a walking blood bank or a human security camera?

“It's it! It's this phone! It downloaded the game itself! It ‘wanted to play,’ it ‘tapped’ its way in!”

“If you're looking for the Doctor, go find it! Make this phone transmigrate and become the Doctor! Let it be that black security camera! Let Kal'tsit lecture it! Let it give Amiya a blood transfusion! Let it be the one who betrays, ”

Bai Cheng spoke so quickly he sounded like he was arguing, or desperately trying to distance himself from all of this.

The phone screen didn't display a permission prompt or return to the home screen as he'd expected.

The only thing that changed was that the “No” option vanished from the dialogue box.

Then a terrifying force began trying to suck Bai Cheng into the phone.

The Most Popular SCP Foundation Books on This Site Back in the Day

I read this several years ago, but can't find it now. All I remember is that the protagonist was a D-class personnel who escaped from SCP-682's mouth from the start. The female lead was SCP-166 and seemed able to disable the abilities of contained anomalies? The book featured Dr. Apes, Cain, God, and 682 barbecue, among other things.

No rules-based horror, and nothing technology-related. I only want books close to "Kowloon: Never Sleep" and "The Backrooms".

No particular requirements. Just no invincible protagonists, and stick to the Foundation's original setting. The original setting, and nothing but the original setting!
