The story revolves around the Major Crime Team of City Z, with multiple lines of progress. The main line is that the Major Crime Team uncovered a series of serial murder cases, and gradually discovered that there is a huge criminal network hidden behind the cases. The cases are interrelated and continue to involve the police force, politics, business and the press. As the investigation deepens, the past and reality of the team members intersect, and the persistence of justice and the weakness of human nature intersect and collide. They bonded as a team and gained growth in the dangerous pursuit, and everyone was redefined by what they insisted on or carried. There are ten volumes in the book, each with a main case. The whole plot advances gradually, and finally the mastermind behind the scenes is revealed in the finale. The final battle between good and evil brings the story to a successful conclusion.
