The Great Evil Minister Simulator

At the dawn of the Great Yan dynasty, Emperor Wuzu swept across the realm, extending his might to the four seas and establishing the capital at the divine city of Luojing. But after three hundred years of peace, the old vigor and spirit have long since been worn away by the entrenched power of aristocratic clans, a rigid and decayed bureaucracy, and lives of comfort and excess. The current emperor, Jinglong, once had the ambition to rule diligently in his youth. But after years trapped in factional strife at court and suspicion within the palace, he has grown disillusioned. He now devotes himself to seeking immortals and praying for eternal life, leaving the power of government in the hands of his maternal relatives and the eunuchs. The court has fallen into disarray, and the foundations of the state are shaking. This is an age in which loyal subjects are cast aside and heroes have no path to serve. Within the empire, land has been consolidated to its limit, refugees are everywhere, public resentment is boiling, and regional warlords have established their own domains. Beyond its borders, the Golden Wolf Khanate has united the northern steppes and is sharpening its blades; the Baiyue tribes in the south are stirring, while Japanese raiders from Yingzhou in the east plague the coast without cease. The entire dynasty is like a battered ship, sinking inexorably toward the abyss. Chen Mo, a modern graduate student in history, transmigrates at this darkest and most desperate moment into the body of the Great Yan dynasty's Grand Tutor, a powerful figure who holds sway over the court. In the original course of history, this notorious traitor was known for currying favor with those above him, bullying those below, embezzling public funds, and framing loyal officials. He was ultimately sentenced to death by slow slicing at the hands of an enraged army and populace. Chen Mo's mission is to don this blackest official's cap and shoulder the infamy of the ages, fighting against fate to find a way to save this dying empire.
