My Roommate Has Been Brainwashed by Internet Memes

My roommate, Lin Jiaojiao, had been brainwashed by viral internet slang. She called herself a female-adoring, man-hating, child-hating leading lady.

A friend reminded her to dress appropriately for a lecture.

She said, “Cut the attitude, sis. Ever heard of freedom of dress? The Qing dynasty fell ages ago.”

Our advisor brought their child to campus.

She said, “Get lost, brat! You look like a little Tang person. No offense, but I’m not interested.”

The advisor scolded her for dressing immodestly and talking nonsense.

She said, “The sky’s falling, you over-the-top advisor! Don’t push me. I have depression, and if you push me too far, I’ll carve you up.”

We all said we couldn’t stand the way she talked.

But the culprit, Lin Jiaojiao, just flailed her arms and bobbed her head. “Hahaha, I’m laughing so hard I can’t stand straight. So what? What are you gonna do? Your hyper-sensitive skin is something literally no one cares about.”

Lin Jiaojiao seemed invincible, living in a world of internet memes, until she posted about the advisor online...
