Slay the Gods: Because of Zhu, Delighting in Zhu, Named Zhu

[Slay the Gods Fanfiction] [Two Male Leads] [Gong CP: Shen Qingzhu] [Plot Follows the Original Timeline] [Apologies for OOC]

"My surname is Gongyi, my given name is Zhu. I'm Gongyi Zhu. Gong, as in a graceful young gentleman; Yi, as in admiration; Zhu, as in bamboo."

I came for you.

My heart stirred for you.

I took the name Zhu for my love of bamboo.

Before chaos was divided, primordial purple energy carried the Breath Soil, giving rise to the Hollow Willow and the essence of Li Fire. Suddenly, a red glow gathered in the southern sky and took the form of the red-robed youth Lu Ya. He spread his wings and became a three-legged Golden Crow, his cry splitting the heavens. Born of the divine flames in the Eight Trigrams Furnace, he carried the Immortal-Slaying Flying Knife and roamed the mortal world. During the Investiture of the Gods, he cursed Zhao Gongming to death, then transformed into a rainbow and vanished into the sea of clouds. Such carefree freedom was just like the blazing, untamed spark at the dawn of chaos. (As a disciple of the Primordial Spirit, Lu Ya's rank far surpasses that of the Golden Crow clan. Lu Ya is not a Golden Crow; his "transformation into a firebird" may be an imitation of the essence of Li Fire, rather than a biological connection.)

A certain Zhu: "In this vast mortal world, there are three things I love: the sun, the moon, and you. The sun is morning, the moon is evening, and you are every morning and every evening."

A certain Zhu: "You are the eternal starlight in my eyes, extinguishing all the loneliness in the world for me."
