The imperial-green jade bangle my grandmother left me, worth over 20 million, showed up on Xue Yunxiao's social media feed.
In the photo, the newly graduated assistant held up a glass of wine. Her caption was so brazen it stung:
"Thank you, Mr. Xie, for your generosity. The professor says this bangle could buy several apartments~"
I sent Xie Mingyang a message: "Bring the bangle back within two hours, or you'll face the consequences."
Xie Mingyang read it and didn't reply.
Two hours later, I stared at my phone, my finger hovering over the "Call the police now" button for three seconds.
A sudden commotion broke out at the reception.
Through the surveillance feed, I saw the police pin Xue Yunxiao down beside the champagne tower, wine soaking the borrowed designer gown she was wearing.
If they won't listen to reason, then I'll just have to teach them how to behave.
Good to read. Five-star praise. Good book. Recommended reading.
