My Darling Dragon, Qianlong

Qianlong had always been certain in his heart that talk of ghosts and gods was nothing but nonsense. He had never believed in the deities filling the heavens. But the course of fate quietly changed, and everything was different from the moment that person entered his life. Not only did he come to believe in the bonds of fate, but before he knew it, he had fallen in love. From then on, his heart and eyes were filled with the other person. He tried every possible way to keep him by his side, hoping they could stay together for life and spend their remaining years as companions. But fate seemed to love playing tricks. The person he met turned out to be a “foolish dragon.” No matter how plainly or subtly Qianlong hinted at his feelings, the other man remained as clueless as a wooden fish. It left him both exasperated and anxious. Zhaoyun had always thought humans were cunning and untrustworthy. But when he met that person, everything changed. Purple auspicious energy swirled around him, so rich it seemed capable of nourishing Zhaoyun’s cultivation. It captivated him at once. By staying at his side, Zhaoyun could have all the delicious food and fun he wanted, and even do whatever he pleased. He was delighted with this life. Yet at some point, the man’s gaze began to feel increasingly strange, and the affection in it left Zhaoyun confused and flustered. Only later did Zhaoyun realize that, from the moment they first met, the other man had already harbored feelings for him. In this extraordinary romance between a human and a dragon, there is no absolute right or wrong, nor any true winner or loser. So where will their love across species lead? The answer is in the book, waiting for you to discover. The emperor’s heart once scorned the gods, until meeting you stirred its depths. The foolish dragon knows not the ache of longing. How many dreams await the human and dragon who walk the same path?
