I Edit the Viewers' Comments During Horror Livestreams

Chen Wang woke up to find himself a rookie streamer in a horror livestream. Bloody red words appeared before his eyes: [Welcome to the Despair Theater. Survive and entertain the audience!] Comments flew by: [This pretty boy won’t last three minutes!] [I bet five dimes he’ll be sawed in half by the first nurse who shows up!] [Spoiler: Don’t touch the doorknob! There’s a chainsaw!]

Chen Wang: “???” Wait, can I... edit these comments?

When he casually changed the malicious [Streamer, go die!] to [The streamer is my dad! Send gifts now!], the conjured cleaver instantly turned into a rain of banknotes.

When he twisted the deadly spoiler [Wrong password. Releasing poison gas!] into [The password is ‘The viewers are all geniuses!’], the villainous boss on the security feed got so mad he started dancing on the spot.

The viewers went crazy: [This streamer’s cheating! He’s editing our comments!] [Holy crap, who just posted ‘Streamer, I love you’? I accidentally sent him a rocket!] [Wait! He’s editing comments from the future! Is he a time assassin?!]

Watching the gifts pour in and the monsters twist out of shape, Chen Wang smiled with unsettling kindness. “Dear viewers, I’ll protect your keyboards (by force).” Today, too, he had to work hard to turn every hater comment into praise and gifts!
