The zombie virus swept across the world, and I was horrified to discover that I was pregnant.
I struggled to survive among the ruins with my belly growing. Even zombies gave me a wide berth: they were afraid I’d throw up.
The aloof scientist gripped a vial of serum, his gaze unwavering. “My serum can keep you and the baby safe.”
The battle-hardened soldier dropped to one knee, smoke still curling from his gun. “Be my gun, and I’ll be your shield.”
The gentle doctor wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth. “Don’t be afraid. I’m more experienced at delivering babies than killing zombies.”
Then one day, the leader of a massive shelter cornered me against a wall, his fingertips gently brushing my pregnant belly.
“Who the father is doesn’t matter... From now on, call me Daddy.”
