This is an alternate-history novel based mainly on the Qing dynasty. I’ll be making changes to the historical details.

I’ve used the names of real historical figures, and some of the events may have happened in history, but in my version they didn’t. Please don’t mind that... It’s just an ordinary novel, and the plot goes wherever it wants. Let’s not overthink things while reading, okay?

Some characters and details aren’t very rigorous, so please keep that in mind.

Kangxi’s twenty-fourth son, Yin Mi, nicknamed Chuyang, is the most doted-on little prince in the Qianqing Palace. One day, while playing hide-and-seek, he discovers by accident that his rosewood wardrobe leads to the villa of Yu Mingchen, a tech company CEO in the twenty-first century. This wondrous connection between two eras turns Chuyang into a little messenger traveling between ancient and modern times. From secretly bringing snacks back to the Qianqing Palace and making the princes curious, to taking his second brother, Yin Reng, to experience modern life, the Forbidden City’s most beloved little dumpling warms both worlds with his innocence. When Kangxi and the princes finally uncover the secret, Yu Mingchen may find himself facing a whole houseful of curious Qing princes...
