[Female protagonist, no romance, first-person perspective]
Jiang Suran, an overworked wage slave, died suddenly after staying up all night to finish a proposal. To her surprise, a System set its sights on her, and she transmigrated into the body of the cannon-fodder senior sister who shared her name in the cultivation world’s Jianqing Sect!
On her very first day, the System told her that she would be responsible for every matter, big or small, in the sect.
What she didn’t expect was to run into Shen An, her close male friend from high school, on the very night she arrived.
Before a day had passed, trouble broke out in the sect. As she hurried to Shengshan Death Mountain to investigate, she unexpectedly discovered that someone had used the Pine Needle Technique, one of the Five Forbidden Arts.
The vengeful spirits that escaped Shengshan Death Mountain wreaked havoc among the people, leaving the land desolate and its people in misery.
Elder Bai Ze of the Jianqing Sect sent Bai Ruoxi, Jiang Suran, and He Lei down the mountain to deal with them, leaving the other two behind to repair the barrier at Jianqing Sect.
As the four of them went down the mountain to eliminate the threat, they repeatedly fell into traps. What chilled Jiang Suran to the bone was that the person using the Five Forbidden Arts was the same one each time! Worse still, that person was coming for her!
The truth gradually came to light, but the mastermind turned out to be him!
